Electronic and Electrical
The dielectric constant of PTFE is relatively small, so it can be used to prepare enameled wires,
which can be used in miniature motors. PTFE glass-coated fabric and glass fabric are used to
make high-temperature, high-frequency insulating materials, which can be used in satellite
communication and computer applications: PTFE film is used to make capacitors, as an insulating
layer, cushion, cable, etc. for instruments; different-diameter PTFE thin-walled tubes are used
as insulating sleeves, heat-shrink tubes, spiral tubes, and insulating water-inlet tubes for
generators.
1. Insulation layer of wires and cables: PTFE's high insulation properties make it an ideal
material for wire and cable insulation, effectively preventing current leakage and ensuring safe
use. For example, Danke's PTFE heat shrink tubing can be used as an insulating material for
wires.
2. Circuit board substrate: The high temperature resistance and stable electrical properties
of PTFE make it an ideal choice for high-frequency and microwave circuit board substrates.
3. Capacitors: The low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss of PTFE film make it an
ideal material for making capacitors, which perform well in communication and radar equipment.
4. Other electrical components: PTFE is also suitable for making insulating washers,
electrical connectors, and other components that require excellent electrical properties and
corrosion resistance. PTFE perfectly meets these requirements.
